The American Benefits Council, Washington, and International Employee Benefits Association, with headquarters in London and Brussels, have joined forces to help corporate benefit plan executives deal with increasingly global issues.
The alliance will promote best practices around the globe and and support the council's 367 member companies operating in emerging and developing countries, said ABC President James A. Klein in a news release.
Along with IEBA membership, the alliance gives council members an opportunity to earn the association's Diploma in International Employee Benefits.
For the 20-year-old IEBA, “the time is right to expand its presence in the United States,” said Brussels-based Chairman Hugh Gallagher in a release. IEBA has offices in the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
