Horace Hung joined Legal & General Investment Management as senior credit analyst, emerging markets.
The position is new. LGIM opened the Hong Kong office July 24 to officially launch its business in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Hung will cover high-yield corporate bonds in emerging markets in the region as part of LGIM's global high-yield team, said a spokeswoman for LGIM.
Mr. Hung was senior director of credit for high-yield research in Asia at Manulife Asset Management (Asia), according to a news release.
In an e-mailed response to questions, Manulife spokeswoman Ginie Lam said while Mr. Hung's role as “senior director of credit responsible for credit research in Asia” might not be directly replaced, Manulife is adding resources to its credit team.
