University of Kentucky, Lexington, hired Cammack LaRhette as investment consultant for its seven defined contribution plans, confirmed Joey Payne, director, employee benefits and self-funded plans.
There was no previous consultant. The university administers three 403(b) plans and 401(a), 457(b), 457(f) and 415(m) plans, with a combined $3.4 billion in assets.
Mr. Payne declined to name the other finalists.
An RFP was issued in May.
