Houston Municipal Employees Pension System committed $25 million each to two private equity funds, according to documents provided by Erin Perales, general counsel.
The $2.2 billion pension plan committed to Vista Foundation Fund II, a small- to middle-market buyout fund managed by Vista Equity Partners, and Carlyle Partners VI, a buyout fund managed by Carlyle Group.
The pension fund has previous investments with both managers. The plan had a private equity allocation of 14.1%, as of March 31.
