Atlanta General Employees' Pension Fund is searching for an investment consultant, confirmed Alfred Berry Jr., chairman of the board of trustees.
Gray & Co. is the $1.2 billion pension fund's current consultant and is advising the board of trustees on a month-by-month basis following the expiration of its contract on Dec. 31, 2010. The firm is invited to rebid, said Mr. Berry.
An RFP originally had been approved in January 2012 and was issued in October 2012.
However, at the Jan. 9, 2013, board meeting, Kristen Denius of the city law department said the RFP would need to be reissued because there was wording in the RFP “that asked for responses on a different set of services not intended to be included.”
The RFP is available on the city's website. Proposals are due at 1:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 28. Mr. Berry said officials hope to make a decision within the next two to three months.
