Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor, Mich., is searching for a bundled provider for a new 401(a) plan, confirmed Monica L. Boote, human resources operational director.
The $227 million Washtenaw County Employees Retirement System will be closed to new hires effective Jan. 1, 2014. New employees hired after Jan. 1 will become participants in the 401(a) plan; current employees may transfer to the DC plan from the DB plan between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28, 2014.
The RFP states the county is searching for a firm to provide “comprehensive administration, record-keeping, education, enrollment and investment management services” for the new plan.
Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT on Aug. 20. Finalist presentations followed by a hiring decision are scheduled for Sept. 5.
