Ted Carmichael, managing director of multistrategy portfolio at the C$60.8 billion (US$59.2 billion) Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System, Toronto, retired last week, confirmed John Pierce, OMERS spokesman.
Mr. Carmichael had been at the pension fund for five years.
He was replaced by Andrew Spence, managing director, who was hired last year as part of a plan to replace Mr. Carmichael; Mr. Carmichael had planned to retire for some time, Mr. Pierce said.
