Fonds de Compensation, Luxembourg, hired BlackRock and Allianz Global Investors to manage global small-cap equities and UBS Global Asset Management and Pictet Asset Management to run emerging markets local currency fixed income, according to the €11.8 billion ($15.5 billion) pension fund's website.
The four managers will handle €140 million each. BlackRock and UBS will run indexed portfolios, while Allianz and Pictet will be active managers.
Northern Trust Global Investments and Dimensional Fund Advisors were named standby managers for the global small-cap portfolios while State Street Global Advisors and Natixis Global Asset Management were chosen as standby firms for the emerging markets bond mandates.
RFPs for the portfolios were issued Feb. 6.
