Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Columbus, hired Boston Company Asset Management, Champlain Investment Partners and EARNEST Partners to run $350 million total in active domestic midcap core equity strategies for its $23.5 billion state insurance fund, confirmed spokeswoman Melissa Vince.
The $350 million will be split evenly among the three managers.
The hires are the result of a new target allocation to active domestic midcap equities approved by the board in January 2012. The 5.5% target consists of 2% each to value and growth and 1.5% to core.
