Chalfont Borough, East Pittsburgh, Pa., is searching for an investment consultant for its two defined benefit pension plans, confirmed Melissa A. Shafer, borough manager.
The borough is conducting the search to see whether it can “save money on fees,” Ms. Shafer wrote in an e-mail. Current consultant Univest National Bank is invited to rebid.
The Chalfont Borough Non-Uniformed Pension Plan and Chalfont Borough Police Pension Plan have a combined $1.2 million in assets.
Proposals are due at noon EDT on Aug. 20. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
The RFP can be obtained by e-mailing Ms. Shafer at [email protected] or calling 215-822-7295.
