Daniel Eustaquio was named senior portfolio manager, hard currency, in the emerging markets debt team at ING Investment Management, according to a news release.
Mr. Eustaquio, based in Atlanta, will begin on July 22. His hiring follows the departure of 22 investment professionals in ING's emerging markets debt team to Neuberger Berman earlier this year.
Bart van der Made was named portfolio manager, hard currency, at Neuberger Berman as part of the change, but it could not be learned by press time whether Mr. Eustaquio is a direct replacement for Mr. van der Made. ING hired Marco Ruijer as lead portfolio manager for hard currency in April.
Mr. Eustaquio was previously director of investments, emerging markets debt fixed income, at Oppenheimer & Co. Phone calls to Oppenheimer were not returned by press time.
Christopher Wilson, ING spokesman, did not return a phone call by press time.
