Ousmene Mandeng was named managing director at Pramerica Investment Management's global institutional relations group, confirmed spokeswoman Theresa Miller.
It is a new position. Mr. Mandeng will focus on expanding and developing relationships with sovereign wealth funds, central banks and other financial public-sector institutions around the world across Pramerica's businesses. He reports to Jim Sullivan, senior managing director and head of fixed income, and is based in London.
Mr. Mandeng was previously managing director and co-head of the public-sector group at UBS. Spokeswoman Hana Dunn did not provide information on his replacement by press time.
Pramerica Investment Management had about $840 billion in assets under management, as of March 31.
