Carmarthenshire County Council, Carmarthen, Wales, is searching for a global equity manager to run about £300 million ($447 million) for the £1.6 billion Dyfed Pension Fund, according to an announcement posted on Tenders Electronic Daily, a European procurement platform.
The pension fund currently has an asset allocation of 39% U.K. equity, 30% overseas equity, 20% bonds, 10% real estate and 1% cash, according to its website. The funding source of the search could not be determined by press time.
Proposals are due Aug. 5. More information is available on the TED website. A hiring decision is expected late in the year.
Anthony Parnell, treasury and pension investments manager for the county council, declined to answer any questions.
