Los Angeles City Employees Retirement System launched an RFP for one or more managers to run about $120 million in an active, core long-only, U.S. midcap equities investment strategy and another RFP for one or more managers to manage approximately $360 million in a core long-only, dollar-denominated U.S. and global inflation-linked securities investment strategy with a 100% target hedge ratio, according to the RFPs.
The equities strategy must be benchmarked against one of three indices: the Russell Midcap Index, the Russell 2500 Index or the S&P Midcap 400 Index. The TIPS strategy must be benchmarked against either the Barclays U.S. TIPS Index, the Barclays Global Real U.S. TIPS 1 – 10 Year Index, or the Barclays World Government Inflation-linked Index.
Emerging managers are encouraged to apply.
Responses for both RFPs are due at 5 p.m PDT Aug. 9. The RFPs are available on LACERS' website as well as the website of Wilshire Associates, LACERS' general fund consultant.
