Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, invested $100 million each in two new hedge fund strategies, confirmed spokesman Russ Rhea.
The $20.8 billion pension fund invested in ESG Cross Border Equity Fund, a long/short equity fund managed by Emerging Sovereign Partners and Senator Global Opportunity Fund, an event-driven fund managed by Senator Investment Group.
The pension plan has invested $750 million in new hedge fund strategies this year with five managers.
