Michael Bargholz has been named managing director of FIL Ltd.’s business in Australia.
Mr. Bargholz, who joined the company in February in the new position of senior investment director, takes over the role from the Australian business’s interim head, Mark Talbot — Fidelity's Hong Kong-based managing director of Asia-Pacific ex-Japan, confirmed Lucy Briggs, a Sydney-based spokeswoman.
Mr. Talbot took on oversight of Fidelity's Sydney-based operations after Gerard Doherty, managing director, Australia, left the firm in February, Ms. Briggs said.
A search is underway to fill the senior investment director role, which effectively oversees the process of putting together investment solutions for Fidelity’s institutional clients, Ms. Briggs said.
