Robert S. Kricheff was named senior vice president and a high-yield portfolio manager at credit specialist Shenkman Capital Management.
It is a new position, and Mr. Kricheff is based in New York, according to a Shenkman Capital news release.
Mr. Kricheff has covered media, cable, satellite, telecom, gaming, entertainment, health-care and energy sectors, and emerging markets companies as a credit analyst, and has published three books about leveraged finance.
“Bob’s passion for meticulous credit analysis is revered throughout the leveraged finance industry and fits perfectly into the Shenkman Capital culture,” said Mark R. Shenkman, president and chief investment officer, in the release.
Mr. Kricheff was managing director and head of the Americas high-yield sector strategy at Credit Suisse. Katherine Herring, a Credit Suisse spokesman, did not immediately have information about Mr. Kricheff’s replacement.
Shenkman Capital manages about $22 billion, according to its latest SEC ADV filing, for a predominantly institutional clientele.
