Maura J. Murrihy was named executive director of the Chicago Laborers' Annuity & Benefit Fund, effective July 1, according to a news release from the $1.4 billion pension fund.
Ms. Murrihy replaces James Capasso Jr., who retired in November 2012. Aileen Pecora, the pension fund's comptroller, had been interim executive director.
Ms. Murrihy was senior vice president and senior program manager at Northern Trust.
Neither Ms. Murrihy nor Ms. Pecora could be immediately reached for comment.
