Christian Dargnat has been elected the new president of the European Fund and Asset Management Association, according to a spokeswoman.
Mr. Dargnat, who will serve a two-year term, is also CEO of BNP Paribas Asset Management and chief investment officer of BNP Paribas Investment Partners. He replaced Claude Kremer, head of investment management at the law firm of Arendt & Medernach, whose term ended June 21.
EFAMA is an industry organization representing members with about €14 trillion ($18 trillion) in aggregate assets under management.
