Lisa Murray was named chief investment officer at the Oklahoma state treasurer's office, confirmed spokesman Tim Allen.
Ms. Murray replaces Sue MacHugh, who retired this year.
The CIO oversees investment of the treasurer's $7 billion portfolio of non-pension assets and also assists with oversight of the $755 million Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust Fund, Oklahoma City. Ms. Murray reports to Treasurer Ken Miller, who also chairs the tobacco settlement fund.
Ms. Murray was most recently director of treasury services for the city of Edmond, Okla.
