Christian Thwaites stepped down as president and CEO of Sentinel Asset Management on Wednesday, confirmed spokesman Barry Schwartz.
Mr. Thwaites is leaving to “pursue other opportunities,” Mr. Schwartz said.
Thomas H. Brownell will take over as interim CEO and president while the company searches for a replacement. Mr. Brownell is the chief investment officer of parent company National Life Group as well as a senior vice president at Sentinel. He reports to Mehran Assadi, president and CEO of National Life Group.
Sentinel had $26.4 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
