Paul Jablansky, co-head of the mortgage/structured products team at Western Asset Management Co., has left the company, spokeswoman Mary Athridge confirmed.
A search is underway to find a replacement, with external candidates being considered. Mr. Jablansky's portion of the mortgage/structured products team is responsible for non-agency mortgage-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed-securities and asset-backed securities.
Dennis McNamara, a senior generalist portfolio manager, will take on Mr. Jablansky's duties on an interim basis. The team's other co-head, Steve Fulton, will continue to lead the agency MBS portion of the team.
Mr. Jablansky is still deciding what to do next, he said in a telephone interview.
