Guy Strapp will become CEO of Eastspring Investments, Prudential PLC's Asian money management arm, effective Aug. 1.
An Eastspring news release Monday said Mr. Strapp will replace Graham Mason in that role.
Mr. Mason will take on the new role of executive vice chairman. He will maintain executive responsibility for the firm's joint venture companies in India, China and Hong Kong, and will continue to serve as chairman of Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Ltd.
Mr. Mason couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Strapp, based in Singapore, is now CEO of the firm's businesses in Singapore and Hong Kong. An Eastspring spokeswoman couldn't immediately say whether Mr. Strapp will retain his current responsibilities after he becomes CEO of the firm.
