Kingfisher PLC Pension Scheme, London, hired LGT Capital Partners to manage a £100 million ($157 million) multiasset strategy targeting alternatives, said Matt Fuller, pensions investment manager at the £2.4 billion fund.
The new strategy, which will be funded by reducing passive U.K. equities, will combine hedge funds, private equity, real estate, commodities, insurance-linked securities and other alternative investments. Mr. Fuller declined to name the manager whose U.K. equities portfolio was reduced as a result of the allocation.
