Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta, made three commitments totaling up to $145 million, confirmed Andrew Sawyer, chief investment officer.
The $11.4 billion pension fund committed up to €60 million ($80 million) to H.I.G. Europe Capital Partners II, a lower-middle-market buyout fund. It is the pension fund's fifth commitment to an H.I.G. Capital fund.
The pension fund also committed up to $40 million to ShoreView Capital Partners III, a private equity fund managed by ShoreView Industries; and up to $25 million to High Street Real Estate Fund IV, managed by High Street Equity Advisors. Both are first-time commitments.
