Kern County Employees' Retirement Association, Bakersfield, Calif., committed $60 million to INVESCO Real Estate and $45 million each to real estate managers ASB Capital Management and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, according to the minutes of the board's May 8 meeting.
KCERA, with $2.8 billion in assets, has a 5% target allocation to real estate. Further information was unavailable by deadline.
Separately, KCERA issued an RFP for an executive search firm.
The selected firm will conduct a search for an executive director to replace Anne M. Holdren, who is retiring. The executive director executes and coordinates the management, administration, policies, regulations and directives of the board.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Responses are due June 21.
