Partners Group is sending portfolio company executives back to school.
The Baar-Zug, Switzerland-based alternative investments firm is collaborating with Harvard Business Publishing to develop what firm executives say is the “first of its kind” operational training in the private equity industry.
The program — Partners Group Performance Academy — will offer leadership training for executives of Partners Group portfolio companies.
The initial course will have five modules: strategy development, strategy implementation, purpose-driven leadership, transformation management and self-development. The firm does not intend to expand the program beyond Partners Group's portfolio companies.
“We think that the key factor for operational improvements is to support the management in the implementation of strategic initiatives such as international expansion,” said Anna Hollmann, Partners Group spokeswoman, in an e-mail. The academy “provides the participants with the tools, processes and training to successfully implement operational improvements in their companies.”
