Dean Winterton was named general manager distribution for Perpetual Investments, effective mid-September.
The position is a new one at the Sydney-based asset management firm, confirmed Kate Abrahams, a spokeswoman for Perpetual.
Mr. Winterton will come to Perpetual from Eastspring Investments in Singapore, where he served as head of that firm’s institutional business.
Jacinta Reddan, a spokeswoman for Eastspring Investments, said a search is underway to fill that position.
According to a Perpetual news release, Mr. Winterton will lead the firm’s sales and marketing efforts, with the goal of improving net flows. As of March 31, Perpetual had A$26 billion (US$25.1 billion) in assets under management.
