Nanette Abuhoff Jacobson was named global investment strategist at Hartford Funds, confirmed spokeswoman Julia Zweig.
Ms. Jacobson is also currently asset allocation strategist at Wellington Management Co., which serves as subadviser for the Hartford Funds.
She replaces Jim Rullo as global investment strategist. Mr. Rullo, a senior vice president at Wellington, is retiring at the end of June. A telephone call to Wellington for more information on Mr. Rullo was not returned by press time.
Ms. Jacobson, in the new role, will analyze and interpret markets and investment opportunities for Hartford Funds' sales organization.
Hartford Funds had $90.4 billion in assets under management, as of March 31.
