Ruth Ryerson will join the $6.5 billion Wyoming Retirement System, Cheyenne, as executive director effective Aug. 1, Ms. Ryerson confirmed.
Ms. Ryerson will resign as executive director and chief investment officer of the $1.8 billion Fort Worth (Texas) Employees’ Retirement Fund, effective July 31. The Fort Worth board will discuss an interim replacement at a July strategic planning retreat, Ms. Ryerson said in an e-mail.
Ms. Ryerson will replace Thomas Williams, who announced in February he would be leaving the fund at the end of August. Wyoming is without a CIO after John Johnson was dismissed in April after pleading guilty to SEC charges of insider trading. Mr. Williams has taken over the CIO duties in the interim.
