Chicago Transit Authority Employees Retirement Plan is searching for at least one global macro hedge fund manager to run $5 million to $10 million total, according to an RFI posted on the pension fund's website.
The $1.7 billion pension plan has an 11% target allocation to hedge funds.
Investment consultant Gray & Co. is assisting.
The RFI is available on the plan's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CDT June 14. Finalists will be notified July 12. A hiring date was not specified.
John Kallianis, executive director of the pension fund, did not return a telephone call, and Christopher Kuhn, senior consultant at Gray & Co., could not be reached by press time.
