Alabama Deferred Compensation Plan, Montgomery, named four finalists in its search for a record keeper, according to Peter Gulia, founder of Fiduciary Guidance Counsel, which is serving as the search consultant.
The $447 million 457 plan issued an RFP in February due to the pending expiration of current record keeper Great-West Retirement Services' contract on Dec. 31. Great-West rebid for the services and is one of the finalists along with Prudential Financial, TIAA-CREF and VALIC. The firms will be interviewed at a June 18 meeting.
The RFP also included a search for a stable value manager. Mr. Gulia wrote in an e-mail that there will not be interviews with finalists, and the 14 respondents are still in the running.
Both selections are expected in late June.
