San Bernardino County (Calif.) is searching for an investment consultant for its four defined contribution plans, confirmed Megan Gardner, employee benefits manager.
Incumbent SST Benefits Consulting is invited to rebid, Ms. Gardner said in an e-mail.
The four DC plans — 401(a), 401(k), 457(b) and 3121 deferred compensation, as well as a retirement medical trust fund — have a combined $600 million in assets. ING U.S. Retirement Services is the provider. The DC plans have the same 26 investment options, as well as series of target-date funds.
The RFP is available on the county's procurement website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. PDT July 1. Finalist interviews are slated for Aug. 8, with a hiring decision anticipated on Nov. 19.
