Mary Chris Gay, who was a portfolio manager on the Legg Mason Capital Management Value Fund, has left the firm, according to Mary Athridge, spokeswoman for Legg Mason.
Ms. Gay left May 15. Her future plans could not be learned.
Parent Legg Mason said in January it was merging the Legg Mason Capital Management division with its ClearBridge Investments subsidiary under the ClearBridge brand name.
Sam Peters, who manages the Legg Mason Capital Management Value Trust Fund, will replace Ms. Gay on the value fund. That fund is modeled after the value trust fund that was managed by Bill Miller before he stepped down in 2012. Mr. Miller remains manager of the Legg Mason Opportunity Trust.
