Harbor Capital Advisors hired Baillie Gifford Overseas as subadviser to its Harbor International Growth Fund, according to John Hoff, Harbor spokesman.
Gerard Callahan, Iain Campbell, Joe Faraday and Paul Faulkner, portfolio managers at Baillie Gifford, will be the fund's portfolio management team.
The previous subadviser was Marsico Capital Management, which had subadvised the fund since 2004. Mr. Hoff would not say why Marsico was terminated.
The Harbor International Growth Fund had about $220 million in net assets as of March 31 and is in the Harbor Funds family, which had a combined $74 billion in assets as of March 31. Harbor Capital Advisors had $69.6 billion in worldwide assets under management as of Dec. 31, of which $61.1 billion was for institutional clients, according to Pensions & Investments data.
