Hialeah (Fla.) Police Pension Fund hired C.S. McKee to run $4 million in active domestic core fixed income, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $19 million pension fund.
An RFP was issued in December. Other finalists were Bradford & Marzec and Garcia Hamilton & Associates.
Previous manager Atlanta Capital Management was terminated for performance. Brian Smith, director of institutional services, and Kelly Williams, president and chief operating officer of Atlanta Capital, did not return a phone call for comment by press time.
A phone call to Pete Prior, president of Benefits USA, the pension fund’s third-party administrator, was not returned by press time.
