Cornwall County Council Pension Fund, Truro, England, issued an RFP for a manager to run a £60 million ($93 million) global frontier markets equity portfolio, said Matthew Trebilcock, deputy head of treasury and pensions.
The strategy is the £1.3 billion fund's first investment in frontier markets equities, done as part of a broader asset allocation review that was completed last July, Mr. Trebilcock said. Funding will likely come from reducing an active global equities portfolio. Mr. Trebilcock declined to name the manager currently running the global strategy.
Proposals are due June 14, and a selection is scheduled to be announced by the end of the first quarter of 2014. Additional information can be obtained from investment consultant bfinance via e-mail at [email protected].
