Denver City & County Deferred Compensation Plan is searching for at least one bundled provider, confirmed J.D. Whiteman, deputy director of purchasing.
Incumbents MassMutual, ICMA-RC and Prudential are invited to rebid. Their contracts expire on Dec. 31.
A municipal ordinance requires the $550 million 457(b) plan to have at least two service providers, but Mr. Whiteman said that could change depending on the results of the search.
Investment consultant Innovest Portfolio Solutions is assisting.
The deferred compensation plan has 54 investment options in addition to two series of target-date funds.
The RFP is available on the state procurement website .
Proposals are due at 5 p.m. MDT May 28. A hiring decision is anticipated within four to five weeks after the deadline, Mr. Whiteman said.
