Federal Thrift Savings Plan's I Fund was the best performing of the $324.1 billion plan's investment options in the year ended March 31, with a return of 19.75%, according to spokeswoman Kim Weaver.
The I Fund is an international equity fund.
The plan's S Fund, which invests in U.S. midcap equities, had the second-best performance, with a return of 18.76%.
The C fund, which tracks the S&P 500, returned 16.9%, while the F fund, an aggregate bond fund, returned 3.88%.
All the above funds are managed by BlackRock.
