OppenheimerFunds will rebrand its institutional business as OFI Global Asset Management effective May 1, confirmed spokeswoman Tanya Valle.
The company will retain the OppenheimerFunds name for its advisory business. Institutional separate accounts managed by the firm were already featuring the OFI Global name.
Philipp Hensler, head of distribution, said the move was made because the firm is getting a lot more institutional business globally and needed a less retail-oriented brand.
