Lamar Villere, director of private equity at the $36.6 billion Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, Nashville, will leave the pension fund at the end of June, confirmed Blake Fontenay, spokesman for David H. Lillard Jr., state treasurer, who oversees the pension fund.
Mr. Villere is leaving to become a portfolio manager at Villere & Co., his family's money management firm.
As of July 1, Daniel Crews, private equity analyst, will take on the position of interim director of private equity. Mr. Fontenay said that whether there will be a search for a replacement has yet to be determined.
