Lauderhill Firefighters' Retirement System, Palatka, Fla., is searching for an active emerging markets equity manager to run about $1 million, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, the $48 million pension fund's investment consultant.
The current manager is State Street Global Advisors, and an RFP has been issued due to performance. SSgA is invited to rebid. SSgA spokeswoman Alicia Curran Sweeney said in a statement that the pension fund “remains a valued client of SSgA.”
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on May 6. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
