Omaha (Neb.) Civilian Employees' Retirement System hired hedge fund-of-funds manager SSARIS Advisors to run $17 million and New Amsterdam Partners to run $12 million in active domestic midcap growth equities, confirmed Buster Brown, chairman of the board of trustees.
The $235 million pension fund conducted invitation-only searches earlier this year. Both are new allocations and will be funded from rebalancing.
Private Advisors was the other hedge fund-of-fund finalist. Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Westfield Capital Management were the other midcap growth finalists.
Investment consultant DeMarche Associates assisted.
