While U.S. venture capital raised the most funds since the first quarter of 2012, the industry saw its worst investment quarter since Q1 2010, according to Dow Jones VentureSource's quarterly report, released Thursday. U.S.-based companies raised $6.36 billion from venture capital deals during the first quarter, down 11% from last quarter and down 12% from the same period in 2012. Health-care companies raised the most money, followed closely by information technology firms.
