Nick Koutsoftas and Ben Ross are leading a four-person team from GE Asset Management that will start a commodities strategy for Cohen & Steers, according to Anthony Ialeggio, senior vice president and director of global marketing at Cohen & Steers.
The four will join Cohen & Steers on April 8.
Messrs. Koutsoftas and Ross, who will be senior vice presidents and portfolio managers, were co-portfolio managers of GE Asset's active commodities strategy since its inception in 2006.
Brad Sanderson will be a research analyst covering commodities, and Michelle Butler will be portfolio specialist. Both held the same roles at GEAM.
Chris Linehan, GEAM spokesman, said the company would have no comment.
Cohen & Steers had $45.8 billion in total assets under management as of Dec. 31.
