Paul Griffiths will join First State Investments in London as chief investment officer, fixed interest and credit, effective July 1, confirmed spokeswoman Anneliese Diedrichs.
The position is new. According to a First State news release, Mr. Griffiths will report to CEO Mark Lazberger, who also is group CEO of the parent, Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Colonial First State Global Asset Management. Tony Adams, head of fixed interest and credit; Tony Togher, head of short-term investments, and Helene Williamson, head of global emerging markets debt; will report to Mr. Griffiths.
Mr. Griffiths now is at Aberdeen Asset Management, serving as global co-head of fixed income with Brad Crombie. With Mr. Griffiths’ departure, Mr. Crombie will become sole head of fixed income for Aberdeen.
