Arun Ratra was appointed head of global solutions at Allianz Global Investors, according to spokesman John Wallace.
Based in London, Mr. Ratra will join the firm in April to replace Thomas Wiesemann, who became a member of the board of management at Allianz Leben, the life insurance division of Allianz SE in Germany.
Mr. Ratra was head of global markets group at the Gulf Investment Corp., Kuwait, a state-owned investment company that promotes economic growth and diversification across the Gulf Cooperation Council, an organization comprising Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
GIC Spokesman Qais Ibrahim Al-Shatti could not be reached by press time for further information about Mr. Ratra's replacement.
