Paul Griffiths, global co-head of fixed income at Aberdeen Asset Management, will be leaving the firm, according to a spokesman.
Brad Crombie, who was appointed global co-head of fixed income in October, will become sole head of the group and assume Mr. Griffiths' responsibilities.
A date for Mr. Griffiths' departure was not available, and Mr. Griffiths could not be reached for comment by press time. A source familiar with the matter said Mr. Griffiths will be joining another company, and an announcement of his position there is expected as early as this week.
Mr. Griffiths joined Aberdeen AM three years ago as part of its acquisition of a large part of Credit Suisse's traditional money management business in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific. At Aberdeen, Mr. Griffiths is responsible for overseeing about £45 billion ($68 billion) in assets invested in fixed-income and money-market strategies.
