Brian Henderson was named head of Mercer's new defined contribution group in the U.K., Mr. Henderson confirmed.
Mr. Henderson, who is a partner and previously was the DC leader for investments in the U.K., will head up a restructured group that places all of Mercer's DC divisions under one umbrella. He will report to Fiona Dunsire, U.K. CEO.
Mr. Henderson said the restructuring was driven in large part by client requests for a single DC source. The new group will bring together specialists from the firm's retirement, investment and employee health and benefits businesses. It will be launched formally in May; Mercer is building the team now, Mr. Henderson said in a telephone interview.
