Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System, Phoenix, committed up to $50 million to Actis Energy 3, an emerging markets energy infrastructure fund, confirmed James Hacking, administrator of the $7.1 billion pension fund.
It is a first-time commitment for the pension fund to an Actis Capital fund, Mr. Hacking said in a telephone interview.
The pension fund also committed up to £8 million ($10.3 million) in direct investments and £20 million in potential co-investments to Clearbell Property Partners II, a U.K. real estate fund managed by Clearbell Capital.
Also, the pension fund made a follow-on commitment of up to $20 million to Davidson Kempner Institutional Partners for a low-volatility multistrategy hedge fund. The pension fund originally made a $50 million commitment in December 2010.
